Hi everybody,
In case you don't know my name is James Watkins. Christy, Nate, and Daniel are my family. They are as much a part of this as I am. We are all 4 Missionaries. You may think that sounds crazy but anyone who calls themselves a member of New Life Church of Christ should call themselves a missionary. Christy and I have been on mission trips to other countries. Nate is a missionary at Ward Elementary. Daniel is a missionary at Head Start. Everywhere we go we should be missionaries. Jesus told us to make disciples as we go. But I'll talk more about that in coming weeks.
As you probably noticed this is the first ever Mission log entry. I haven't thought of a really cool name yet so if you have any ideas just send them to the forum. I am going to try and put an entry in at least once a week. Each entry will be for updates, happenings, information. Anyone who has any ideas about Missions let me know.
At the end of October we are going to have our first ever Faith Promise drive. Various missionaries that we are supporting and hope to support are going to be in to put on workshops. Special singing, home cooking, etc… are going to be going on that last weekend in October and we hope to wee you there.
